The workers asked the government to help them get jobs and want help from the Labour Ministry's Workers' Compensation Fund while they are out of work.

They also want the government to arrange for the exchange of Libyan dinar to baht, as they left the violence-torn North African country in a hurry and could not exchange their Libyan currency.

The cabinet today  approved 343 million baht in emergency funding to help Thai workers returning home from Libya, as proposed by the Labour Ministry.
